Description
I'm ready for the "that defense is terrible comments", but I believe that the additions are players that would plug in well to this team and system and would allow for a lot of different and good combinations for the Dcore.

Red Wings decline. I really like Dumoulin. But I'm not giving up a 2nd and a 3rd for a rental.

I'd assume that that deal comes with an extension if DET were to trade for him.

But why would Dumoulin sign a contract extension with Detroit when he can just wait until UFA and sign with a contender?

because DET is on the up and may compete for a playoff spot next year, and also he has multiple rings so he may just want a long term deal.

I wouldn't give up a 2nd or 2 picks for a 30yr old dman. There are a lot other options that fits Detroits needs

Wings pass, We're trying to get younger not adding a 30 year old Brian Dumoulin. And you're easily looking at $6,500,000 x 5-6 years to sign Vincent Trocheck and $9,000,000 x 7 years to sign Filip Forsberg. If Forsberg wanted that low ball offer he'd already be resigned back with Nashville.
