Hard pass from Detroit. Hoffman is a garbage human being and locker room poison.

Detroit can't afford to trade any of their centers and they have to many wingers as is. Since they are still rebuilding trading a 22yr old center for a 32yr old winger makes no sense.

Don’t see why Dallas would give up gurianov for a cap dump

Nope, nope, and not happening. No matter how many times you post this, the answer remains no. Detroit says no, as Hoffman sucks. Dallas says no, as Gurianov is better than Petry, especially without retention. And the Canes say no, because that is an absurd ask, when the 23 draft is better than the 22 draft.

If I knew how to script, I'd set one up that automatically wrote "Stars Decline" anytime a Habs trade involved Dallas

We probably should collectively start posting that in all Habs posts.

Including those that don't have a Stars trade in them.

Just to make a point.

Detroit passes, We've no use for Mike Hoffman. And once again Petry's wife and kids are staying in Detroit for the long haul. So he's not waiving to be 1,000 miles from them. When all is said and done Petry probably winds up in either Buffalo or Pittsburgh as close to Detroit as possible.
