Doesn't make sense for both teams on the Canucks trade. That being said, remember when Devils fans said that the difference between Ty Smith and Quinn Hughes was not that much

Leafs can do better than Subban in free agency. Not much reason for this rather than trade Kerfoot for pure assets and sign someone for free.

Luke Hughes is playing another season at Michigan, And Quinn Hughes is absolutely going nowhere.

Easy no from the Oilers, I'd rather have Skinner with his cap hit next year over Blackwood. Skinner has better numbers, is younger and is a great value.

Hard pass on the Hughes trade. Devils don't need him whatsoever, would be ridiculous to give up a kings ransom to get him just because it would be "cool".

Irrelevant point. Devils don't make this trade in a million years.

Thank you for doing a Devils ACGM.

EDM - I have zero idea what Blackwood's value is today. This could be underpay, overpay...honestly, no clue.
VAN - I doubt either side is looking for this type of deal, although fun to get brothers together. I think that best chance anytime soon will be on Team USA.
TOR - Devils wouldn't sign a player then immediately trade him. Leafs could just sign PK and keep Kerfoot.

Luke Hughes is staying at Michigan for 2022-23, probably signs in April 2023

Bratt should get long-term extension...6-7 years
Wood - a 2-year $4.2 million would probably not get signed. Its probably 1x$3.5 or 3x$3 (he has $3.5 million qualifying offer).
Zacha probably gets $3m-$4m on 2- or 3-year deal (he has $3.0m qualifying offer).
Jimmy Vesey should be getting 1/2 that salary

Also, on the lines, many of the wings should be on other side. Bratt is RW, Sharangovich, Zacha and Wood are all LW.
Add Alex Holtz.
Bernier likely to start year on LTIR.

It didn't look like it was based on his rookie year. Honestly have no idea what happened to him this offseason.

That was when Ty Smith had an impressive rookie year and Quinn Hughes was meh. This year Quinn Hughes significantly improved and Smith had a sophomore slump. However, the difference between them isn’t two lottery picks and a top RW prospect

He was still good offensively, stop generalizing the position as a whole

And he was terrible defensively last year

He's "overrated" just like how you think Severson is "overrated

Tyson Barrie and Tony DeAngelo are both inherently terrible defensively, if Severson is so good, why are the Devils still so bad?

I get ya bud it's just the whole Quinn to NJ thing has gotten a little stale after the thousandth time. IMO if he ever comes here it'll be in free agency.

You're going to blame it all on goaltending? Sounds a little suspect

Yes because Devils have the worst goaltending in the league this season? Not sure what you're trying to prove here

What I'm saying is I think Severson is overrated on this site. Ryan Graves and Jonas Siegenthaler are both very good defensive defensemen, I'll say that much, but I see Severson as a more offensive minded defender, sort of like a rich mans Tyler Myers

Quinn Hughes is an offensive minded defensemen. That doesn't mean he's overrated. Your logic here is very questionable

Yeah, those stats tell that Severson is as well
