No reason for Van to buy Pearson out when we could easily trade him for a decent return if we don’t want him anymore

I don't understand why people don't like Pearson. Like, he's not the fastest skater, but has very good hockey IQ and is almost never out of position, plus he's a decent finisher

No, no he isn't, Manson is nowhere near as impactful of a player as he was back in his prime. I saw his market value listed at around 2.7M
