Not close for Scheifele. It would need a much higher quality starting piece.

thinking Buffalo could be one of Scheifele's 10 NT teams but that is a pretty good looking top 9

Doubt the Jets do that, and Scheifele only has 2yrs left on his contract. But would be interesting

You're starting piece is a Cale Makar calibre RD, I think you need to be more realisitic for a 2C that has had a point per game pace because of the forwards that he is paired with.

I think that Dylan Cozens, and potentially Peyton Krebs could develop into a 1C but there is always Tage Thompson and Zemgus Girgensons could be a good 3C so the entire concept of this ACGM is flawed.

Lol. Up until the last few weeks, the only reason Ehlers, Connor and Laine in the past were any good, according to this site, was because they got to play with Scheifele and Wheeler.

You need to stop basing your opinion on Twitter hottakes and research how valuable PPG 1C's are in the NHL. Educate yourself a little so you don't come across as being so ignorant on the players involved.

Scheifelle is easily the most overrated player in the league and is analytically the worst defensive player by miles. Obviously, he's a forward so I would cut a forward some slack, but Schefielle is so bad that he's a liability on the ice.

Yeah, like a player closing in on 50 goals is going to be influenced by a center. Connor is the best player on the Jets and Connor and Ehlers are play drivers that make everyone else around them better so I think that you're mixing it up and your point is shot. Also Connor and Ehlers are both a lot better in terms of their plus minus which is showing Scheiefle's defensive weaknesses and a 1C or 2C has to be defenseivly responsable. I still cannot believe that you just called Schiefele better than Connor or Ehlers.

If Nichushkin is signing that contract he is a lock to be back in COL.

That’s a thoroughly unappealing offer for Schiefle, and it goes without saying EJ blocks any and all BUF trades.

You're overrating the value that Schiefel will draw in as I would really like to see what his points are where he has less help then Connor, Ehlers, Dubois who are top players in the NHL and a great supporting cast of Stastny, Appleton, Wheeler, and Lowry along with several other good players. The Jets forward group is one of the top in the league.

Whoops. I fixed that. I meant to say "according to this site, until a few weeks ago, the only reason those Jet players were any good was because they played with Scheifele and Wheeler.' I should have read it before I posted.

Why would you trade Olofsson for nothing just to overpay Nichushkin. Theres no reason to break up the Sabres lines as well, especially when moving Thompson to center seems to have been a revelation for his career

Seems like a "waste" off 9m, cap for Sabres, and giving up all those young assets too.
I'm not saying the Sabres should do the suggestion I have.....Sign Kadri to 8m X 4 year contract , but it's certainly better than the trade proposed to get DeMelo and Schiffelle for two years each

Scheifele would start with either Quinn or Peterka. Rosen has not proved anything, least of all that he deserved to be a top 15 draft selection. Tage is our #1 C right now and doing very well in that position. By next season we all hope Cozens will be our #1 guy, and that's not a knock against Tage simply a truism about Cozens' potential

BUF will be better, but contending for a spot is another thing.
BUF is currently 29pts out of a wildcard spot. How do you intend in making a 15win swing in one offseason?

He isnt though, hes extremely inconsistent, and his production benefited this year solely from good linemates. He produces significantly less on average than Olofsson

You’re undervaluing his contribution and you are making a trade where a legit 1C is going one way and the best piece coming back is what exactly? Rosen, the 1st? I’m not even a jets fan.
