If the devils trade a legit prospect for one of the worse players in the league, I'd be bummed.

I don't know the Devils system well so I went via Scott Wheeler's rankings and picked him because he was outside the Top 5 (#8). The Jets could use forward prospects especially right shots so in theory someone else would also work. Or a draft pick.

Not saying the value isn't there in the Olofsson trade, but with the way he is playing, the only way I'd see us trade him is if we were getting a goalie or a RHD in return.

Yeah I mean, Logan Stanley is awful. So basically any positive value here would bum me out.

Islanders fans have said that Dillon isn't the type of LHD they're looking for.

Why trade Lucius already??

Ahh okay, I saw he was in a few AGM threads. Good to know!

Olofsson has been fantastic so I figured a Top prospect was closer in value than a 1st. And he's the only real bg prospect besides Perfetti and Heinola. But not saying he should be traded by any means either

Can I interest you in a Bode Wilde/2nd round package for Brenden Dillon instead?

Personally, I don't think he's a terrible backup plan, but I think we can all agree he's an unsexy option for LD2. But I think pairing him with Noah Dobson wouldn't be the worst idea.

I'd take that trade.

Dillon is pretty solid, personally I hope the Jets keep him and just try to find an upgrade on DeMelo, do think Dillon could be an alright partner for Dobson.

I see, cant see Buffalo having any interest in Heinola but if they did I'd trade him and hold onto Lucius, not sure if Buffalo has any real interest in trading Olofsson though.

An uprgrade on DeMelo? You silly? He is one of the league's TOP 10 defensive dmen. There's a reason why Morrissey finally play up to his contract this year

Yes. I don't understand that the Jets organization doesn't see it

I don't think we would either, unless the return was meeting our need for a RHD we could play in the top 4. That or if he asks for some ridiculous contract, which he won't because he is not that type of person. I think a 5-6x5 or thereabouts is probably pretty realistic

Lord is DeMelo overrated, watching him and Morrissey against better teams is laughable, probably the worst top D pair in the league.
