Moving Drouin or Byron for a minimal return is a maybe, if necessary, kind of thing.
Giroux is not a necessary thing. He's also cup chasing at this point, so doesn't make sense for either party.
Paying to unload expiring contracts is just a bad idea in our current state. Retain or throw in to trades which address needs, but it doesn't make sense to give up assets to move players in order to sign free agents.

Giroux can probably get more on the market and likely will, he also won't come to a retooling team this late in his career.
Romanov isn't taking that little long term, he's playing top pairing minutes and doing very good there he will likely either do a bridge deal between 1.5-2.5m and then after that sign long term.
Absolutely 0 reason to sign Tyler pitlick for 3 years at 2.5M , they have enough bottom 6 forwards they don't need to re sign him especially not at 2.5M
