Don't see how that deal helps Boston. Kap for JDB is a lateral move at best, O'Connor wouldn't crack Boston's roster and the 4th rounder has just over a 10% chance of playing at least 100 games in the NHL.

Can't see the Bruins giving up DeBrusk for anything other than a 1st or as part of a package to bring in a more impact player.

Although Sullivan doen't get along with Kapanen, Kapanen > DeBrusk and yet will be cheaper to resign. Pittsburgh either keeps Kapanen or Boston adds.

Keep him. Boston is adding nothing to that deal.

He is the better player and won't cost $4M cap hit... so... okay.

11 goals. And if he's better why wouldn't he ask for more than what DeBrusk is being paid?

Ah, the only measure is goals. He can ask for $10M. DeBrusk's contract was not a good deal from team side.

Well that's one reason I've listed that he isn't better than DeBrusk. You haven't said one. A 20+ goal scorer at $4M cap hit is not a bad deal from team side.
