That's your biggest concern?

One of them. Youre putting 2 guys together whose playstyles dont complement each other at all.
The other issue is paying to move bails. While i dont like him very much i guarantee if hes traded it will be as a positive asset.

Only if he is retained - or if money comes back, which I doubt the islanders will do.

If Gostisbehere was dumped, it seems likely Bailey would be too. While I agree that it shouldn't be by the rate of a 2nd, I wouldn't kid yourself into thinking teams would pay anything significant for his full cap at this stage in his career.

I didnt say significant but hes not a cap dump. For all the crap hes getting this year hes still scoring at a ~45 point pace. Hes a great playoff performer (scoring .80 points per game under trotz) and is a veteran leader. Hes also been as consistent as anyone as hes scored at at least a 50 point pace for the last 5 years. These are the types of guys that gms love. The contract isnt great and he is getting older, but its not a crazy commitment at 5m for 2 years. I would expect a bailey trade to look something like bailey for a pick in the 80-85 range.
