you’re not saving any real cap or getting legit value. i'd think if he's at only 2.5mil he'd return a lot, and if not then keep him and move him at the deadline or don’t retain at all

It's just to help with Minny's cap situation. Varly has been solid but not spectacular, and he's just a rental to an acquiring team. Don't get carried away with his potential value

Minnesota will keep MAF on a cheap price. He doesn't want to move his family again and is still a long time teammate of Guerin. We also have cam Talbot under contract. So Guerin declines.

Fleury has said he wants to play at least one more season or to, yes, but he hasn't specified that he wants to stay in Minnesota

Long time teammate? They played just over one season together. I sincerely doubt that the 90-something games on the same team a decade ago is going to significantly impact MAF's decision on where he plays next season.

Maf approved a trade to Minnesota 2x. 1st time before he was even moved to Chicago. Literally his family is important to him above all and that's what wild organizations is about. Wild have arranged for his family to visit him numerous times

Probably had more to do with going from a bottom feeder to a contender than it did with his "relationship" with with a guy he played a few games with in 2010.

They won a championship together. Do your research, they have known each other a whike
