Quality over quantity. Nothing you have there resembles anything near Laine’s production. So there’s really no reason for Columbus to even consider this offer.

What would be the price for Laine? Top prospect + 1st round pick?

Probably looking at a top prospect, 1st and a roster player or a 22 ish top line player.

How about Guhle, Petry and FLO 2023 1st? Guhle just won defenseman of the year in his WHL division. Florida's 1st is unprotected. Petry could be flipped in a couple years if he plays well. Columbus is close enough to Detroit.

Or an offer sheet that takes him to UFA status. That’s assuming that he even can be offersheeted, which I’m not sure about.

That being said, Laine won’t be going back to Canada, but I also don’t really see him signing long term with Columbus, but who knows, crazier things have happened.

LHD is the last thing Columbus needs, they already have Knazko and Sovil so Guhle probably isn’t the top prospect they would be looking for and honestly I don’t think a 20-32 pick would be worth it for us to move Laine.

Guhle might not be what Columbus need, but he's still good value to add. Also, since the pick is unprotected, it could be in the lottery. Vegas is missing the playoffs this year, you never know. At least, their pick is lottery protected. What if Florida miss the playoff next year.

But yeah, i think Columbus could get a better fit for a trade.
