Not happening but just for fun

Description
PLEASE READ:
I do NOT think Detroit would entertain trading for Chychrun, nor do I even necessarily think they should. I also don’t think ARZ would take this, though I think the value is more than fair.
This is just for fun.

In this scenario, Detroit gives up a top prospect, a mid level prospect, a young quality NHL player and draft picks for a young 1LD.

Detroit trades for Pettersson to be their 2LD.

Edvinsson makes the team out of camp(if he shows not to be ready, Walman or resigning Staal to a 1 year deal as 3LD).

Wings sign Strome, Copp, or Trocheck to be their 2C(personally I think Strome will be the cheapest option).

Resign Gagner as a depth forward on a 1 year deal.

Wings get a new coach.

Still leaves room to resign Larkin(8M), Bertuzzi(6.5M), Seider(8M), and Raymond(5.5M).

By the end of the 24/25 Season:
Berggren is the 2C, Strome traded(frees estimated 2M after Berggren extension).
Pettersson gone, replaced by Johansson/Sebrango(frees 4M, goes to Edvinsson extension).
Fabbri gone, replaced by Soderblom(frees 4M)
Sundqvist gone(freeing 2.75M).
Zadina new contract (4.75M, if earned)(money from Sundqvist and Fabbri).
Berggren signed to a bridge type deal(3.25M).
Any increase in the salary cap goes to Rasmussen and Veleno.

Future lineup:
Bertuzzi-Larkin-Raymond
Vrana-Berggren-Zadina
Rasmussen-Veleno-Soderblom
Smith- Gagner type vet/current prospect- Grewe
Chychrun-Seider
Edvinsson-Lindstrom
Petersson-Hronek
Cossa
Nedeljkovic

This seems like a contending roster too me but maybe I’m too bias.

Can't see making the Arizona trade. There a good chance wallinder is going to be a top 4 nhl defenseman anyway which is what Chychrun is. We aren't in that much of a hurry to pay that kind of price for him.
Everything else is very well thought out and looks good.

fun roster! i dont thin wallinder is considered an A prospect, more like b+, but that just my take! i think its a solid start for a chycrun offer, but i thinks its just a bit short! i hope the wings do some moves to be competitive next year, this team deserve to play meaningfull games.soon!

I agree Wallinder may end up being as good as Chychrun, which is why I said I personally wouldn’t want them to do the trade, but IMO, considering he’s still very young, a proven Chychrun could be more enticing than what Wallinder could be. That said, again, I’d probably pass but this roster could be fun.

Maybe make that 4th a 3rd or something but this would be a fun team for the next decade.

Yeah Chychrun is a luxury we can't afford right now, But outside of that love the roster. This team could do some damage down the road.

Not only are you trading away good prospects and a good player but also you're trading away the picks we'd use to replenish those prospects.
