Rumours at the time pointed to an issue between Dubois and Jones in Columbus and there’s zero reason to risk any issue reigniting in Winnipeg. Dubois is more important to the Jets than Jones ever could be.

I strongly disliked not only the Jones trade but his contract. I don’t think though that if I’m giving him up this is what I’d want for him. I’m rebuilding so I’d want a top prospect and a 1st or two prospects and a 1st.

I personally am not against it. But a lot of other Hawks fans would say otherwise. I think the bigger problem will be finding a team that is a fit and getting a return that is good enough to justify moving him.

How do you know he has a 10 team no trade list, And Winnipeg could be one of those 10 teams. It was already reported that he wont waive for any Canadian team. So we assume that all 8 Canadian teams and 2 American teams are on his list.

Seth Jones isn't waiving for Winnipeg, And no freaking way is Scheifele waiving for a bottom feeder that's not going anywhere anytime soon. Detroit pass Schmidt isn't worth a 2nd rounder we can get plenty of LD with term for no more than a 3rd round pick.
