Description

I went on what I think the higher end for a Fiala long term contract.

The Spence trade that involves Kulikov and O’Rourke. Doesn’t necessarily have to be Spence could be Durzi. The Kings just have very good RD depth and the Wild have good LD depth and prospects so I think a deal could be done there.

Also I have read the comments about Dumba buying a house and Guerin loves the guy. 1st he is making a lot of money and can afford to at least pay rent on another place. Also we traded Jason Zucker and his family still lives in Minnesota with Carly being on the radio weekly.
- Guerin may love the guy but this is business and if he can replace his production which seems more likely then Fiala, Dumba can still be moved.

Fiala has been a good mentor for Boldy, and has been a positive influence on him and his development. I wouldn’t under estimate that.

I think there’s something here re: CBJ. It would depend on what the extension Dumba signs looks like.

Would taking Bemstrom instead of Foudy work?

It would depend on how much it would take to resign Bemstrom. Because the reason the Wild would be trading Dumba is to shed cap. Foudy seems like a better prospect then Bemstrom, but I haven’t watched too many Blue Jackets games to really see how good Bemstrom is. They may want an additional 3rd (sweetener) with the 2nd and Bemstrom, but I would do that.

To resign Dumba probably 5x5 or so. He is 28 so I would give him an extremely long extension and by the time this contract is up at 5 years young guys would be needing paydays.

If I’m the wild I ask for a cuelemans level prospect. Not a foudy or Bemstrom. Dumba is a solid top 4 defender who is in his prime. A first level prospect and a second is a good counter.
