I think FLA disproportionately benefits from this 3-way trade. They get out of a cap burden in Hornqvist AND get Dadonov and Hague at the cost of a bunch of easily replaceable assets- with the arguable exception of the 2nd. Ignoring that Hornqvist should probably cost a 2nd to be free of alone, an objective analysis of the pieces doesn't look like a package that'd approach even just Hague in value:
- a B or B+ prospect (solid but unspectacular)
- a 24-yr old bottom pairing Dman (not bad but pretty much every team has a comparable player or two)
- a young bottom-6 C (not hard to replace)
- a 4th round pick (close to a 5th)
Since your scenario already has VAN taking on cap burdens for picks (something I don't think they're looking to do, but let's entertain the idea), I think they'd be much better off simply taking a pick from Vegas for taking on Dadonov and foregoing all the extra work.
