Description

Conservative version this offseason. Give Petry what he wants with a move over the border and in the process secure Ratcliffe in hopes that his past chemistry with Suzy translates to the NHL game(who knows? He could be the missing piece to that line). Move out Weber to Arizona for the obvious reasons and keep everyone else. Let’s face it Hoffman, Armia, Drouin, Byron and Savard are all going to cost assets to move out at this point so Hugo decides to hold on to them in hopes they improve their stock. If sellers at the TDL next season and any one of Drouin, JVR and Byron have garnered interest from a contender through better play then retain on them and get anything you can for them along with Allen not retained. Either through trade or expiring contract those 4 players will account for almost 19 million in freed up cap the following offseason.

I have no issue with only moving Petry but that’s not my preferred return. Columbus is also the best destination. And just buyout Byron, it is a pretty cheap buyout

I’ve seen your ACGM trading Petry to the Jackets and it includes 2 mill in retention and buying out Byron would include another mill of cap the following season. This ACGM is about enduring one last season before clearing almost a quarter of available cap without it costing assets.
