Love it for Winnipeg, not sure if it checks boxes for Philly. Philly is a scrapper city, like there squad large and physical, but probably skilled enough to beat pit also, so maybe there’s a trade here. Might need a samberg over heinola, or a throw in stanley. Maybe a sign and trade Sanford.

Too much coming from Winnipeg and acquiring an unneeded rental player. While Konecny would be nice, he's not worth moving Scheifele for and Sanheim as a middling second pair rentalLD, does nothing but plug the left side even more for one year.

Sanhiem played a lot of RD over the years. If he can do that, Im open to trading for him. 4 OA pick is also valuable as that type of player can be playing in 12 months

Overpay by WPG on that PHI trade
…drop Heinola and the 1st and maybe add a 2nd or equivalent prospect/player… and that’s only if Sanheim is reasonably extended and if we could add to him and flip him to NYI for Pulock. They get a 2nd pairing guy and some cap space… Jets get a top pairing RHD.

Lots of defenseman can play their offside, it doesn't change the fact that the Jets shouldn't trade their most valuable trade chip to add another unneeded left shot defenseman.

I could understand it if it was a high end top pairing LD, then maybe. Depending on who, contract, etc. But spending their best trade chip on a rental, average second pairing guy that doesn't give the Jets anything they don't already have, is a waste of a valuable trade chip.

the islanders would be far better off just trading for sanheim directly. they’re not in position to trade one of their top three guys when they already have two major holes to fill on the back end

Lol dude he's average at best signed for 3 more years at 6M per. Awful trade for Detroit. Jets have to pay us picks to take that contract off their hands

PHI declines because I highly doubt we give up that 2022 1st. If we do its a colossal mistake and the franchise should fold
