Trades
1.
CHI
  1. Mittelstadt, Casey
  2. 2022 1st round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
I know BUF fans don't love this but I really do think it's fair value. Hawks fans don't want Mittlestadt but I think we should. Loved him in his draft year and I think if we play him with cat/kane he could bring a similar presence to what strome does for us if not even more because he's a better skater. It's somewhat of a long shot but I think worth it
2.
CHI
  1. Zadina, Filip [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
detroit probably won't move on from Zadina yet but he's another guy I would really love to see the hawks take a stab at.

Hawks have basiclly nothing in terms of prospects coming up next year other than Reichel. We will have forward roster pots and top 6 minutes up for grabs. Would love to see us take a chance or two on a high end talent
DET
  1. Strome, Dylan [RFA Rights]

I would say that the Sabres would be silly not to take that trade. I expect that Chicago would want an additional asset for Murphy.

We don't have the roster spots, Our top 9 is basically set for next season.

I wouldn't. I think it's pretty fair, but I'd rather take my chances with Mitts. Even if his offense doesn't step up, I think he's been a very solid 3C with a defensive minded winger like Asplund.

I’d be willing to bet good money that Murphy will have Buffalo on his no trade list for next season. Kinda hard for him to go there when he likely won’t wanna be there

I'd rather sign a RHD in UFA or acquire one from a team who needs to shed cap than trade both those assets for Murphy.

Mittelstadts year was destroyed by injuries, but he's turned a corner under granato.

It's not a bad trade value wise, just prefer not to do it

I don't get it, he hasn't played close to a full season in four years, his goals and assists are anemic, doesn't have a lot of hits, his give away take away ratio is poor and his corsi stinks - what makes you think oh I'd love to get him on my team?
