Solid? i mean he is playing awesome right now but a few weeks ago he was often injured (this year and for portions of last year) and his sv% was below league average

He’s all over the place. I’m not an Oilers fan so idk how to feel about him but he clearly can play really solid hockey, even if he is inconsistent, and at only about 2-2.5 mil I would not a cap dump worthy contract. At most, probably goes for future considerations

The Oilers would be lucky if Bouchard signed that deal. More than likely tho his agent will bet on his client go for a 2 yr bridge deal and then after that demand a massive payday similar to Nurse.
