Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Yes, this team will probably be bad, if Malkin and Letang want to come back, fine, but play Puustinen, Poulin, Hallander, POJ, DOC (ik he's not that young), maybe Cam Lee too. I also did not care about depth guys and whatnot

You guys extended Carter at 37, the Kings have just completed a rebuild to get younger, Carter as much as I love him isn't the right fit for the Kings any longer at that caphit.

Only thing I don't like is extending Kapanen. He's been abysmal. I really like the Carter trade. He's been really bad. We could use all that cap space to sign a ton of people too.

If you are going for a rebuild here though then this is a good idea.

Jeff Carter is our third c until he dies. He has been insane and can step up when needed. He a has a good amount of grit to his game that a lot of the penguins don’t. Trading Carter would be insane. Also, the only way I see the penguins doing this is them missing the playoffs for a few years in a row. But they have been solid this year, so no.

Yeah, I just wasn't bothered with finding a team that might want him, should have specified any team

I don’t think you can sign a ton of guys for like 3 million and change. At least none better than Carter.

We definitely could. Carter has not been good. I think a guy like Deslaurias who brings a different element could be more beneficial to the team. I know, he's not as good as Carter offensively, but he is what the team needs now, not Carter.

But he would take a good chunk of that cap. So again you can’t sign a ton of guys with only 3 million and change. You could only sign 4 guys if they come at league minimum. That’s not really a ton. Less if you go after players like Deslauriers
