Oilers don't gain from this at all and would have no interest in it.

This is a trade that i would have bene all over in 2021. Honestly, i don’t think i’ve given it enough thought, but on the surface:
Since the Hall - Haula - Pastrnak line was formed, Haula has 39 points in 52 games. Thats a 61ish point pace. RNH, is placing at a 65ish point pace. Now, RNH is certainly the more talented player, but Haula has been such a good fit with those two wingers. I don’t think I would mess with that, especially with Haula’s low cap hit for one more year. Not to mention, this would be taking the bruins first line winger out as well, and he’s sneaky third on the team in goal scoring this season.

I think its a pass from both teams.

Edit: ya, definitely looking back at it with nick foligno in the top six, it’s certainly a pass from Boston, and I’m pretty confident its a no from edmonton as well.
Any team with nick foligno in the top six is not going to win any championship.
