I don't think either does it tbh just too big of a deal and neither to do it even tho both sides like the return just something the fans like but doesn't happen

I feel like Tampa would be ok with moving Alnefelt, Miftakhov has been decent and they have a few others that can be serviceable when Elliott leaves and can play backup to Vasy

Don't love the term here Trochek but fine.

As far as Serg goes, well, I personally don't see it unless the Devils have very different numbers for him compared to the public. Their decisions (outside the draft and...Geertsen) seem to be heavily analytics driven and Serg is pretty far from an analytics darling.

That being said, I probably do it anyway. Just don't know if they do lol

I wonder if Tom would target Cirelli instead and move him to wing with Hughes.

Would have to consider that. And possibly corresponding move with Graves to restock draft capital.

He'd be an idiot to move him to wing

Feel free to elaborate.

Looked at his microstats and there's nothing of extreme note there that would indicate he needs to be a C (like elite transition or even d-zone retrievals). He's listed literally as c/rw on this website...

Why are we getting another LHD instead of getting a RHD that could become part of the core in a position we have limited future beyond Walsh?

Tampa declines. Not attaching their own 1st and Alnefelt to Serg to move up in a weaker draft. Serg can arguably return a top 10 pick by himself, much less having to add 2 solid pieces. Tampa doesn't need either Nemec or Jiricek that badly.

Trocheck isn't signing in New Jersey to play 3C when he's accustomed to playing 2C and he's going to cost closer to $6,500,000 x 5-6 years not that low ball offer.

He would play first line powerplay and probably some PK too, he would get his minutes. Lol "lowball" by 1 year and < 1mil aav? Dude had 50 points this year on a loaded Hurricanes squad, nobody is giving him 6.5x6

You're taking one of the best defensive zc and
Turning him into a winger is foolishness imo there's a reason he has gotten Selke votes playing against top lines regularly

is that reason "because he's a center"? I'm aware his role as a shutdown center and I'm aware of how good he is defensively. But I don't see a reason he can't do that as a winger. And you haven't provided one here.
