So basically get a whole lot of nothing for guys with value? Makes sense. Definitely benefits the team going forward.

I’m not a Jet’s fan,
and it’s obvious you aren’t either

That’s some “selling low” on those guys

Buffalo would be stupid not to take that trade. But that sounds like a recurring theme amongst all these trades.

To answer this seriously:

- Monahan is, through no fault of his own, a shell of himself because of injuries. He's a cap dump at this point

- Wheeler isn't going anywhere and I doubt Nashville is on his very small trade list

- Stanley will fetch more because he's 6'7" but that's a whatever

- Morrissey has been the best Dman on this team by a country mile this year, and if you throw outdated analytics at me don't bother, he's been an analytics and eye test monster this year. Look at the other extensions being thrown around, his cap his looks incredible now

It’s okay because that’s a god awful deal for the jets. Hanifin is great, but LD is the last thing the jets need

scheifele and wheeler are garbage. Scheifele at least has perceived value by most GM's I'd imagine- getting a #2 d man and a middle 6 forward + pick is an insane haul for him. Wheeler and Morrisseys contracts are absolutely horrid yet they don't get a worse player out of the deals. Morrissey is that bad, I don't know if you've noticed. While the adv. stats don't like wheeler he's obviously still a great offensive guy, but the jets don't need that. They also need a serious different look from this team moving forward, and Wheeler is a symbol of the past. Just dump him

this is just what I would do if I were winnipeg. his analytics are really not that crazy especially defensively btw

they just need a real retool, get rid of the core guys besides connor / ehlers / helle

Personally I wouldnt move Hanifin for Scheifele 1 for 1 right now. I understand jets declining though

watch plenty of games but you don't have to watch more than a few to understand winnipeg. that and the stats speak for themselves

Totally understand that from a flames perspective. When it comes down to team needs this makes 0 sense for either sides

If the stats spoke for themselves you’d know that Morrissey has been awesome all year lmfao. Shows how much you know.

Morrissey consistently places bottom 5 in every defensive stat, obviously its a tad inflated because of winnipeg's D structure and he's playing with his head above the water on the top pair but all in all he's totally not worth 5 mil let alone 6.5

Most of his defensive metrics have been dragged down by a few down years where everyone was bad defensively. If you look at this year he’s got a good CF% and a good FF%. His stats aren’t bad. He’s been good all year.

Gawd no, while not perfect the Jets LHD is the least of their problems, they're missing the playoffs for three reasons:

-Scheifele was checked out and disinterested for most of the season.
-Helle was pretty damn terrible, he just wasn't good enough, he hurt them more than he helped.
-The Jets bottom two lines are epically useless, they get almost zero secondary scoring.

he’s had bad numbers recent years because his dad and biggest fan was dying/died of cancer. players are human too. he had good numbers earlier in his career and amazing numbers this year. absolutely no reason to trade our best defenceman and he’s worth every penny of that contract imo

Looks like you're used a bit too much to Hellebuyck being elite the past two years.
