It’s a good offer but i’d still say no. Dubois seems to actually want to be here and those guys are pretty rare so it doesn’t seem like a good idea to move him

That probably barely gets Dubois let alone adding DeMelo. And right now Buffalo picks at #9 David Jiricek wont fall that far depending on Ottawa Detroit will finish either 7th or 8th overall and therefore probably would take Jiricek before Buffalo.

If the Jets moved Dubois, this is getting close to the value required and would only require a few adjustments.

Take out DeMelo from the Jets, replace Olofsson with Jokiharju and change the 2nd to Buffalo's 2nd and the Jets may call you back.

However, only in the unlikely event that the Jets are forced to trade Dubois.

The thing about Friedman's speculation was that Dubois was worried that the Jets would be entering a retool/rebuild, so if he is going to be traded (highly unlikely) I don't think Buffalo is the kind of place where he'd sign.

If it's $$$ Jets will give him that contract above in a heartbeat

Swap Olofsson for Jokiharju and make the 2nd Buffalos. I think that’s closer to the value. But jets likely aren’t trading Dubois. It’s a lot of nothing. Even if the jets retool for a year I think he’ll sign.

There’s no point in trading for Dubois when you can just draft a player just like him with your first round pick this year. Buffalo doesn’t really need him right now anyway, especially not at that price.

Relax Buffalo fans, enjoy the youth, enjoy the cap space, enjoy the journey. Don’t be in a rush to make a mess of a situation that is closer being a top 8 In the league over being in a bottom 4/5 position in the league. 3/5 guys away from banging off trips to the eastern final, from one of the larger dumpster fires witnessed in a while. Ottawa/Phoenix seemed to make you look better, but trying times non the less. I mean just enjoy the journey.

I wouldn't do that trade, think Cozens is gonna be better once he fills out.

As a Sabers fan I Dubois after what he did to Columbus. The Sabers are better off keeping their young talent and picking up what they need free agency.
