The Jets aren't trading Dubois, but if they were an average 3C, a low end left shot winger prospect and a late 1st isn't anywhere close to what it would take.

Do you think that offer would be not bested by half a dozen others from the rest of the league, calgarys first is nearing a second.

Could atleast try and make a competitive offer, replace the 2nd with florida's first for next season and add in a better prospect than Mysak. Even then Jets need exactly what Dubois brings i feel like they will be getting a deal done.

No problem man! You were correct in what you said and it's better to educate people on why their offer doesn't work as opposed to just hammering them on the head.

Okay I want to understand something in offer sheet mode 7x7875000 is 4 1 in value but for 5 years at same price it's a 1st a 2nd and a 3rd. How, why and where are the gape to understand if it's late first, top 10 first or quality players to fill the value???

Anybody that feels there team is a piece or two away from being contenders imo. Leaving the lottery behind for 3/5 years.

That was just a ballpark take, I’m a jets fan, without that much knowledge of the other teams I referenced, just them nearing the transition from lottery to playoffs. Jets would make a relatively large hole at 2c/or 1b with scheifele being 1a. So the need would be a Center that would compete with perfetti for 2c and find the money for a scheifele extension. Then would be a scoring winger with the potential of a top 6 spot, and large rhd dman that has top pairing abilities. All while keeping a hungry fanbase off chevys back for turning number 2 overall pick laine into whatever this package is, so needs to look like a win that way also. So not sure there is a perfect answer to your question. That’s why I don’t try jets builds no longer, always complaints.

I have huge difficulties to understand value from other team perspective when:

Ryan Oreilly was traded for : 31st overall selection in the 2019 - 49th overall selection 2021 - Tage Thompson (former 26th selection 2016) - Patrick Berglund - Vladimir Sobotka

What would be the piece to fill Dubois if we give Dvorak - 26th 2022 - 54th 2022 - Mysak - ??? (is Mailloux enough ???)
