The Jets aren't going to go backwards and trade a center for a winger and two low end prospects. There just isn't enough value or team needs met for Winnipeg.

Jets won't be trading Scheif a centre for a winger. I don't like so much from the Leafs view either. Still a cap problem and no proven NHL goalie. Trading Nylander for cap space might be needed.

I'd do this as a Jets fan. Nylander>Scheif imo and hopefully Perfetti could take the 2C role (or a stopgap FA for now). Plus Nylander is younger.

Same way you wanted them to trade Marner for nothing but capspace??

That would have worked really well for them!
