    Just an FYI ...

I'm a huge Nick Paul fan.

I think he's a very special player and that he deserves to be on Tampa's top penalty killing unit.

Much like Barclay Goodrow once was.

I'm also really happy that we got Mathieu Joseph for Nick Paul.

IMO, getting Mathieu Joseph is more important to Ottawa's interests than getting a late 1st round pick for Nick Paul.

Because I think Mathieu Joseph is a special player too.

Although, if someone in ACGM were to offer Nick Paul for Mathieu Joseph and a 4th round pick before the trade deadline, I don't think it would get much praise from either fanbase to say the least.
    OTT
      In any event ...

here's to another heartbreaking first-round exit for the Leafs.

      Go Lightning!!!!! :D

Would love the see Tampa stomp the leafs! I think it’s going 6 or 7. And i do think Austin and Mitch will play well, but ultimately I think Tampa is just too strong.

      - one of few teams who can go punch for punch with the leafs up front
      - while a lot of said leafs depth is better, I personally think tampa is better in the bottom 6. Perry, Colton, Paul, Palat, Hagel is one good bottom 6. While Milheyev and Engvsll had improved, I still don’t think the fourth line is particularly close in tampas favor.
      - goalie and D both easily go the bolts
      - coaching goes to bolts
      - experience goes to bolts
      …..

Going to be tough for the leafs I think

Most people seem to believe it'll take 6 but I'm betting it'll be Tampa in 5.

And yes. Mathieu Joseph was a such a great piece for Ottawa to get back in that trade.

Honestly, to me, it's not the lines or special teams that are going to doom Toronto.

It's Vasilevsky vs. Campbell. Jack Campbell has had a fine season, but after watching the last two Islanders playoff runs and how they ended, I'm convinced there's no better goalie in the NHL right now than Vasy. Campbell is gonna need to be a combination of 2003 JS Giguere & 2011 Tim Thomas to have any hope of pulling off the upset here.

Campbell seems to love playing Tampa. Dont know why but his best performances of the season have come from playing them. Other than one game due to playing through a rib injury hes been fantastic.

gm 1 he stopped 24 of 25 shots and had a 0.960sv. Watch that game he made 8 save of the year candidates alone
gm 2 he stops 22 of 26 0.850sv. Not his best night but turns out he was playing through that game with a broken rib after Greenway ran him over 2 nights prior in Minnesota
      gm 3 stops 32 of 34 shots 0.942sv.
gm 4 did not play so really cant say anything about it

Now no way I am discrediting Vasilevsky as he also posted good numbers besides game 3 . That said knowing Campbell when hes in the zone and healthy he will be just fine.

This is gonna be a fun goaltending battle thats for sure.
