Description
I know some of the values are off, but I really am not sure on some of these guys. They need to do a real tear down and rebuild. They should look at moving guys like Provorov, Atkinson, and Lindbolm at the deadline

Seems more and more likely that Provorov is gonna be the guy moved, not Sanheim.

Good luck on getting more. No one will pay a first round pick and a 5/6 D for a 4/5 D in Sanheim

I would agree with that assumption, but I don't think Provy brings home a huge amount either with his production history.

my thinking was Sanhiem is a UFA at the end of next year and I don't see him resigning. Mikkola is added for the retention and he would most likely be the Blues 7th D next year unless Scandella is moved

Sanheim has been easily Flyers best D this season and if he's available this offseason there will be many teams interested in giving up a 1st + for him and if Flyers retain 50% on him the price is going to be even higher. On a contending team he would be a really solid 2nd pair 3/4 D.

Sanheim is very much more of a top pairing guy than a borderline bottom pairing scrub man. Philly's only competent D

Calling him the best on one of the worst teams in the league means absolutely nothing to most people especially in a small sample size that his rate plays. No one is willing to overpay for a defenseman in normal 4/5 D with small play of 3/4 potential. With average at best D. Good Offense sure. But god awful PK. I think Flyers are desperate to get as much as they can, but Nick Leddy with 50% retained and a prospect got Sundqvist a 2nd and Walman. Giordano got 2 2nds and a 3rd at 50% retained with a Bottom 6 Forward, and since Sanheim has 1 year left and then becomes a UFA this is more your unique value because he's a rental. You understand now?
