I understand, but like I said for the past 3 to 4 months there have been posts on this very site for Petry to Wings for Zadina, Zadina and a 2nd round pick, Veleno and a 2nd Veleno and 1st, Zadina, Veleno and a 2nd, Hronek and a 2nd and my favorite, Petry and Poehling for Hroenk, Veleno and a 1st.
All are bad for Wings. And if you do not like people putting up critics of your post, do not post. I gave amply answers why Wings would not make this deal several times on this site. I guess I get tired saying the same thing over and over. And so do many others. Now was his offer serious, no, but you took it that way because most Wings fans see the same Petry trade to Detorit once or twice a day.
Wings want to win and begin to make playoffs and start the winning g culture again. But in this site lately, otherteams want to make the Wings the dumping ground for bad deals and do so while robbing the better players. It gets frustrating. Again do not take his response as a true belief but more, 'I am sick of thses Petry rumors and think trading a prospect like Soderbloom and Zadina, whatever he may become, ridiculous.
This is not my post, don't blame me for those Petry to Detroit trades. I know it won't happen, they already have Seider and Hronek on RHD, and both are better than Petry.
To me, it's frustrating when i see Detroit's fans answer to Petry's trade. I get that they don't need him, but often the answer are that he's a cap dump and worth nothing, which is ridiculous. He's still a 2nd pair 40+ points RHD, with 20 points in his last 29 games. At 6.25M for 3 years, he's under a decent contract. Habs could retain half his salary to make him more appealing to a contender, but either way, MTL is getting more than a late 2nd and B prospect.
It's not that people started lately to make the Wings a dumping ground. It's been like that for years. I think people assume you're still rebuilding for another 2-3 years. It's gonna be hard making the playoffs in the Atlantic against Toronto, Florida, Tampa Bay and Boston. That's why MTL is rebuilding, because they can't compete against those teams for the next 5 years anyway.
