No. In a 32 team cap league maybe, but certainly not a powerhouse team compared to dominant teams in previous decades.
Now Tampa might be the favourite to win the Cup but this lineup certainly wasn't dominant in the regular season.

It's so much harder to win now. How can you deny that if these players played in the 70s or the 90s they would be scoring 70-80 per season.

How can you really honestly say "one of the greatest lineup ever" Montreal teams in the 50s and 70s, multiple Cup Winners and multiple Hall of Famers, same with the 80s Oilers.
The Red Wings had a team that had 125 point season with mulitple Hall of Famers.....thought they didn't win the Cup that season.
You would be hard pressed to say the current TB isn't even the best lineup the current NHL season.

Red Wings had 131 points in 95-96 including 62 wins. Lost to Colorado in the WCF in 6 games. In 96-97 they had 94 points including 38 wins and won the Stanley Cup sweeping the Flyers in 4. 👍

A lot of Tampa’s success came from their 3rd line on their previous cup runs. Coleman, Gourde, and Goodrow was the line that made those runs possible. If they don’t have that line they don’t win both cups, let alone one. They have done a decent job replacing that line, but it’s not even close. I highly doubt that they raise a cup this year, but I do think they beat the leafs and probably the panthers as well, but they won’t make it out of the East.
