Team: 2022-23 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: May 1, 2022
Published: May 1, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Don't moan to me about Eakin. Somebody needs to win a face-off.

I'd like Cederqvist and maybe Rosen to sign later into the season. Would like to see both in the organisation proper.

Tampa has to lose somebody sooner than later. Cernak will cost £5m onwards. The Lightning can't afford both Sergachev and Cernak plus others on those contracts. All the draft picks spent on Hagel need to be replenished as well, otherwise its Chicago Blackhawks/LA Kings 2.0 for the Lightning so something is going to give.

I could see Sergachev in Detroit before anywhere else, Just due to the Julien BriseBois and Steve Yzerman factor.

add the Vegas 1st and Tampa still says no. Maybe Tampa eventually has to trade Sergachev or Cernak, but it (most likely) won't be this offseason and (definitely) won't be for this little

If Tampa were to trade Cernak it definitely wouldn’t be this year. Maybe the season after when he is an RFA due a raise, but I’d bet there are other players they would want to dump first

Same old song and dance isn't it.

They'll lose Stamkos to free agency.
They won't be able to afford Kucherov/Vasy.
They won't be able to keep Point.
They won't be able to keep Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev.
They won't be able to move Johnson without a massive overpay.

Now they won't be able to keep Cirelli, Cernak, Sergachev? Well they've got all next year to figure it out and even if they don't they're all RFAs anyway.

Tampa hasn't had a first round pick in years but had consistently added 2-3 skilled players every season. The Hagel picks aren't as dire as you think they are.

One day there will be a reckoning. But so long as Kuch, Point, Stamkos, Heddy, Vasy are around Tampa will continue to surround them with skill players like Cernak, Cirelli, Sergachev. Not trade them away.

But not at pennies on the dollar plenty of teams will have interest in whichever one Tampa Bay is getting rid of therefore the price is going to be a lot higher than that insulting piece of garbage offer that you proposed.

Sweetheart? **Blush** Naw..

Fair enough. Just questioning your logic in the improvements. I'm not saying Cernak is untouchable, but how often do contenders trade great players on great contracts without considerable overpay. If I offered you trinkets for Tage Thompson you'd probable Vito it.
