Yeah Detroit passes, The Fowler from 5 years ago yes the Fowler now no. Fowler will be 31 at the end of this year making $6,500,000 x 4 years and with his injuries it would be far too risky.

You wouldn't take Zadina and a high 2nd + other assets for a washed up Fowler? Or Muzzin for a 3rd liner making 5M? Or Roy for a 2M 4th liner?

Obvious you don’t watch the Ducks play if you’re saying Can is washed
Muzzin just blocks ice time for our young guys
I’d love to add Roy but not at the cost of Comtois who was looking like his old self at the end of the year

If you need Seabrook to reach the cap floor TB
Will throw him in the Shattenkirk trade otherwise Arizona can take him for future considerations or Jeff Vinik writes a check for whatever his uninsured portion of his contract is Jeff Vinik doesn't care about writing a check

Wouldn’t do this as Toronto. Contracts are very similar but Muzzin both fits the teams needs more and is also much more likely to bounce back if he stays healthy

Dude is rock solid so I’m guessing you’re basing this off of age?

Well he played 76 games this season all 56 last season, but the 2 seasons prior he missed like 23 games both seasons so he has an injury pattern there. Just not giving up that much for Fowler and Jones.

Detroit declines.

We're looking for cheap stop-gaps on LD until our prospects mature and we have no need for wingers.

This is all pretty bad. The Shattenkirk trade is close if the secondary piece was better. That DET trade is awful. Zadina is close to becoming a bust and Rasmussen is bad. The only piece with decent value is the high 2nd but that doesn’t get you Fowler. The Vegas trade is just a lateral move the ducks don’t need, they should check in on Roy tho using picks tho. The ducks also want nothing to do with Kulikov, Muzzin or Zaitsev. And you added $9.5M in real money without making the team better with the Seabrook trade.
