Lafreniere would be way too much for Miller.

Schneider and 2023 1st should be enough.

Ranger's can't afford Miller long term, And they're definitely not giving up 3 equivalent 1st round picks for a rental. And Myers at $5,000,000 x 2 years isn't worth a 2nd rounder either.

It's worth more like a 4th round pick, so half that value

Yeah a 4th is probably a pretty fair offer for him.

Awful. Pettersson for literally a bin of garbage and a 7th since we’re both making terrible moves.

Throwing all the cards for a 1 year rental is an awful move, especially since resigning Miller would be extremely expensive and a long term deal into his late 30s. We’ve got enough big money in Panarin, Kreider, Zibanejad, Fox and Trouba. Becoming more top heavy is how you end up being mediocre.

could see him signed for 6 or 7 per year if the term is right

Personally think Copp who is younger and has fit in well is the better option long term plus a great deal cheaper.

it's the Rangers first year in the playoffs in 5 years, why would they panic if they had a first round exit?
and what makes you think that it would lead to an atrocious trade?

they are the youngest team in the playoffs beside the Kings...
