You are not getting a fourth for Weber's ltir contract. There's plenty of those out there Arizona can pick up Seabrook or Duncan or probably a bunch of others I can't think of right now furland so yeah the 4th is delusional

What's the risk with Petry? He was back to his normal self after a bad 30 games and will easily play another 2 years of solid hockey.

Weber's contract is more valuable then any you listed since it's mostly paid for and has a higher cap hit. 7.8 hit to get you to the floor while only paying out a million, someone takes that on pretty easily

Az will take it but aren't giving up mid round pick to do it.
Petry 1) 34-38
2) everyone knows he wants no part of being in Canada when you have to get rid of someone their value diminishes you certainly aren't getting 2 really good young players.

you are right, Weber's LRIT contract doesnt get a 4th. Thats also not why Arizona would trade for him. He wouldnt see LTIR he would just be placed on regular IR so his cap still counted and they could spend 3 mil in real cash for 7.8mil cap hit and then 1mil for the same cap hit in each of the following two seasons. Arizona going to be barely scraping by with a 4,500 seat home arena and for a team needing to reach the floor in the cheapest way possible Weber contract has value and a 4th is probably around what they would pay.

Prepare to be disappointed if you really believe that is the return.
Btw LTIR counts towards the floor

lol alright. I'm sure i will be extremely disappointed if they dont get a 4th, figure that entire future of the franchises rebuild will rest of a 4th round pick.
You clearly don't get the explanation of how a contract like weber's has value to a team trying to reach the floor, LTIR or IR or however they designate him has nothing to do with the value a front loaded contract has to them.

Either way its fine i will prepare myself to be extremely disappointed by the return. just like I was for Chairot, Leckonen and Kulak

I understand completely you're forgetting players like Seabrook Who has a similar hit to Weber and whose contract is 90% insured

Seabrooks is similar but the discrepancy of cap hit to $ owed is much less with his contract only about $2mil different versus weber's $4.78mil different next year and $6.78 mil the following two seasons. Weber
s contract is more front loaded then any active contract and was one of the key reasons for changes in the last CBA because it was viewed as cap circumvention.

I understand that however the Seabrook gets paid by insurance
