Habs aren't giving all that up for Point. Especially since they're likely to draft Wright or Cooley in June. 2C won't be something they pay a price for moving forward

Hear me out for a second.

Why not offersheet PLD 9mil x 5yr instead? Hes not maybe as valuable as Point BUT:
- youd be able to keep Caufield
- youd save 500k per year on the contract
- youd save a 2nd round pick
-youd save the other prospects listed
- hes french canadian

I could see a trade if MTL first round pick is 3rd overall. Something like MTL 2022 1st + Dvorak for Dubois. Only if Winnipeg won't pay Dubois what he wants.

MTL wouldn't give a 2022 top 2 pick, or 2023 1st since next year draft top 5 is better than anyone this year.

I don't think Winnipeg would have interest in anything else MTL have.
