I dont think either team would be down but what would TOR give up for Demko? Same tier as Hellebuyck but on a cheaper and longer contract and is 2 years younger.

Demko is more "untouchable" than Hellebuyuk at this point to be honest. It'd take more to get him. I'd trade Nylander for him in a heartbeat.

Why would you consider trading Demko?

Personally I'd way rather have Demko than Hellebuyck.

I agree. IF Demko is traded (which is a massive if) they would need a new starting goalie too, which Toronto does not have (Campbell is a UFA and Mrazek is trash). So perhaps Nylander and a first round pick? And Vancouver's pick of Woll, Kallgren or Scott?

If hellebuyck is moved, it signifies the start of a rebuild as the jets have 0 goalies that can take over. So yes, they most definitely say no to this as they’d be looking for picks and prospects.

Demko is nowhere near as good as Hellebuyck. In 2/3 years the argument is there I guess but nothing justifies Demko > Hellebuyck rn

We also have no interest in Nylander, Leaf fans have posted Ehlers for Nylander trades for years. Leaf fans value Nyl higher than the rest of the league by alot it seems.
