I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets suspended for a game

Yeah that scrub with a Stanley Cup clinching goal how many series win do either have?

Joins Travis Moen, Frantisek Kaberle and Michael Rupp in the very relevant players who scored a goal in a hockey game that ended up being the GWG.

Enjoy the series bud, you're a trash person regardless if Tampa wins or loses.

Leafs seemed to handle the "violence" just fine without him. I'd at least give Spezza a look. They have Simmonds to beat people up if they want.

Spezza can punch a dude out if he wants to though. Would honesty prefer to start Clifford in Game 3

Ignore that guy. He's a total bandwagon fan. Likely became a Tampa fan 2 years ago.

Why? So he can punch Carlton the Bear next game?

They need Clifford in the lineup.
The 4th line does not play much, and Clifford adds speed and physicality when he's out there.
What is Spezza going to bring in the the 6 mins of ice time?
Clifford is a guy that Tampa knows they will have to deal with if they do something stupid.
Leaf's have not had that guy that will cross the line in a while and I like it.

We did have a guy in Kadri who would cross the line, and he missed valuable playoff games in consecutive seasons. At least Kadri brought skill while he wasn't suspended.

I'm not opposed to Clifford playing, but he should be on a short leash right now. If he somehow escapes suspension, all eyes will be on him to mess up again.

It just feels wrong to not at least try Spezza out. He’s a proven veteran who could be on his last playoff run.

You Can't compare Kadri and Clifford.
Kadri was a 2nd Line Center, while Clifford is a 4th line winger.

If he is suspended for that, that will be the standard in the playoffs and that hit is done multiple times.
Keep him in!!

As I do feel for Spezza, as it could be the last go. The Leaf's need to Win, and teams that do in the playoffs are physical.
Tampa has Perry, Maroon, Kucherov, Sergechev that all play dirty , so Clifford and Simmonds can police it on their own.

I feel like after this game though, seeing Clifford put the leafs on a 5 min PK early on and getting kicked out, he's the one player that you can take out. Spezza can be chippy when he wants to as well (it'd be follish to compare him to Cliff in that regard though).

Don't go backwards to previous year's. Leaf's were physical and Fast. Continue that narrative.

Bunting likely won't be ready for Game 2. Clifford will be suspended.

So just plug Spezza on line 4.

Clifford has a hearing today, looks like Spezza will be in tomorrow.

Clifford might be out anyways, so they might be without a choice it looks like.
