Way more. We don’t need or want that contract on our books. Look at going rates — Verbeek was going to get a 2nd for ~5 million of Dadonov soooooo

First of all, have you at least considered how well OEL has played this season? The only sore spot with OEL's contract is the amount of term, he's been well well worth most of his salary. Not full value, but a good majority of his salary. Canucks wouldn't give up Hoglander if it meant unloading OEL, and you realize their asking price on Hoglander is very high right?

That should be enough to unload OEL by itself, clearly you don't appreciate how good OEL has actually played

Haven’t considered any because I want nothing to do with that contract

Anaheim is the wrong trade partner. The Ducks likely only want short-term cap dumps. Makes no sense to do this if it isn't for a significant overpay and this would unnecessarily complicate the cap situation next summer.

oel has been good, but he's past his prime getting paid like a top 5 defenseman and has many many years left on his contract

Well he has said he will not overpay or give crazy terms to older players so why would be trade for one that is old expensive and expensive for a long time — I’d bet the house he wouldn’t ever do it
