He is a Leafs fan not a Habs fan. We need that 1st to select a top 6 center which is more valuable to us than getting another winger. IF we knew we weren't getting Wright or Cooley and we were signing a center in FA maybe we would be more inclined to go after Lafreniere (with a way better offer than this of course) but we don't know where we will pick and who we will sign this offseason.

Gee, just what the Habs need. 18m in goalies. The first round pick is certainly has bigger upside than Lafrieniere.

I think VAN passes on that offer. It is interesting because of the lower cap but Myers is too useful to VAN. If they do move Myers itll be for a bigger cap relief

id take it, probably unlikely to dump myers without losing assets otherwise. makes the F/D $ balance much more palatable too

Myers doesn't have negative value, he's been good for us this season
