Created by: nintendofan721
Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: May 3, 2022
Published: May 3, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Decided to restart my offseason series. I’ll start with the worst teams and work my way up to whoever wins the cup this year.

Three keys:
1. Keep Martin St Louis as head coach
2. Pick up a starter (if Price is done)
3. Think about the future

Feel free to give any constructive feedback.

Detroit is not taking Armia's cap off your books and certainly not without compensation to do so. We're past the cap dump accrual stage of the rebuild, so even then, it isn't a fit.

    Let's start with the signings

Romanov likely wants a slightly longer deal and higher cap hit maybe 3-5 years at 2.75-3.5 range
Pitlick is not worth more than 1.25 IMO, one good year does not justify spending more.

    Now the trades

Montreal is not paying to move Weber to Arizona since they were reportedly willing to take him at the deadline.
I would rather keep Eddy but the return isn't bad either so could go either way but more depends on how the kids play this year when given the chance.
The rest of the trades are whatever trades lol as in whatever we can get we are happy lol.

Buffalo certainly has no use for Armia or his terrible contract.
