I guess I’m more asking what happens to the teams above, like even in the first scenario: does Arizona move down if they win the 3rd pick?

AZ would move down to 3 if they won the 2nd lottery and 12 won the 1st lottery

If the 13th team won it, and picked 3rd, the lottery would be on the 4th pick, and if Montreal or arizona won it, they would stay at 1 or 2, correct?

No team can win 3rd overall, only 1st or 2nd.

No, if the 13th team won the lottery, they would get the 3rd overall pick, since they can only move up 10 spots.

But in that case, that the 13th team won, moving up to 3rd, is the 2nd draw for 1st overall, 2nd overall or 4th overall? That is what I'm curious about.
