Its pretty far off considering Devils want "impact players" for 5th overall.

If they wanted a defensmen prospect, they could take a better prospect like Nemec or Jiricek at 5.
If they wanted a middle 6 winger, they could keep Tatar/Johnsson/Zacha or sign a better one in free agency.

I feel the Devils might just use the pick at this rate

As there will not be many equal value players available.

As usually these impact players are found on playoff teams who really dont want to move these guys

The only 3 guys I can think of where both teams may pull the trigger on a trade

Allen 50% retained you forgot

But any team that gets kuemper needs a capable backup, as he somehow always finds a way to be injured

And kuzmenko can't be average, he has to be this years kane

Nurse should be last years nurse, and ceci, this years ceci

And kuemper without injuries

If that happens this team can be dangerous

Really, I’d much rather have Nolan Patrick then Hoffman, even if Patrick is more of a main Center, he or Evans could move to the wing if needed, we clear cap space and get someone who has a lot of potential, just needs to stay healthy

Would Muzzin actually want to play over resting is the real question here

As he isnt playing 100% and so would he probs would chose rest at this point. As if hes doing this good at 60% imagine if he gets fully or really close to fully healthy for next season

Yes. I haven’t watched too much of Whitecloud but is he solid defensively?
