"It was essentially Nils Lundkvist, a first round pick, and Filip Chytil."

@SatiarShah
and
@danriccio_
discussed the potential offer the Rangers had on the table for JT Miller in hour 1 of #Canucks Central!

Hopefully Rangers fans will see this and know they can’t just throw their extra prospects and expect a guy like Miller

Trade proposed on HFboards:

Miller (50% retained), OEL, Dickinson for Marner, Sandin, Liljeren , Kerfoot

Canucks fan response: Remove the retention on Miller, and Id consider it. I feel Marners contract is too much and part of that should be retained if hes coming back

Little surprised by this, thought they might roll with Tarasov as the backup

I've seen "Prove-It" contracts before, but this has to be one of the first "Get Your Sh*t Together" contracts i've ever seen.

Rick Bowness steps away immediately along with his assistants

I bet Justaboss and EsoYeezus59 are happy

I'm more relieved than happy honestly.

I'm not a fan of Bowness' philosophy, but in general I kinda like the guy.

He's a coach players tend to like.

Bowness definitely seems like one of the good guys in the NHL. But, this team peaked. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but they haven't generated much offense recently. He needed to "step aside." I fully expect DAL to be a playoff team again next season.

Dallas could be cup contenders in 2 years if they get an offensive minded coach. Prospect pool is stacked with high end forwards

59 is for when Bertuzzi signs with us and you can flip the bird towards DET fans.

Nah it doesn't. It's an easy match for Dallas honestly.

Gotta go to next tier to make us actually consider it ($8M+)

More old man hockey but that wouldn’t be that much of a difference than when he took over the caps.

While I appreciate what he's done in the past I want a more offensive coach now.

My soul is craving for it.

Tbf the capitals did have one of the better offenses at the time because they had a great transition game but I understand what you mean
