I think Dallas would need a better RD than Stone if Klingberg doesn't resign (which I don't want him to anyway). They should maybe go after one that might be available for trade (I don't know one off hand).

Dallas should keep Wedge over bringing in someone like Halak or bringing up Scheel who's just not good enough. I think you could sign Wedgewood to a reasonable contract like $1.5×2 or something.

The Stars should also use as many young players as they can get in their lineup like Damiani, Dellandrea, Tufte, Karlstrom, Johnston, Stankoven, Bourque, etc. Don't really need to sign Vatrano. More than anything Dallas needs to get younger and stop relying on the older guys.

IMO, it’s gotta be either a 3-year extension or an 8-year extension for Robertson.

A 3-year deal gets Robertson to his last year of RFA eligibility and allows Dallas to maximize the value out of Robertson. The 8-year obviously locks him up as long as possible this offseason.

A 6-year deal doesn’t do much for Dallas aside from allow Robertson to test free agency in the middle of his prime.
