MTL will be 2-3M over the cap next year, but if they can make space by trading or buying out players, i think they would take that 2nd for 1 year of Dadonov.

But seeing you end up with 18M+ in cap space, why would you pay to dump all those players?

Avs have no need for Petro, especially his contract and they're definitely not helping the Knights out of cap hell. Now, they might be interested in one year of Dadonov for a modest return.

from a Tampa standpoint, i like the value. Theodore is very underrated in my opinion and would look really good with Hedman and McDonagh and Cernak. I dont know if we would be able to take on that cap hit though

Avs aren’t paying $8.8M for a 32 year old defenseman with 5 years left on his deal. Pietrangelo is a solid player, but he’d be a second pairing guy in Colorado and that contract is gonna age like milk.

Detroit could well accept that offer. Martinez wouldn't be my first choice but he's in the race.
