MTL is definitely holding on Drouin for now, they didn't get to really see him under MSL. I think they're going to keep him around and hope he has a good year under MSL and then move him for something a lot better than that. If he's back and healthy putting up regular pts he's going to get a decent return half retained at the deadline next yr.

We'll get more than a 5th for Hill.

I disagree.. They clearly have a goalie surplus and teams will just wait it out until the price drops plus his cap hit isn't great for the performances this year.

But Dreiger who is signed for longer with a higher cap hit and worse performance nets you a 4th? I smell fan bias here.

You are missing the point of the Sharks goalie surplus and Hill is the odd man out after a below expectation season. Dreidger is someone who can go into a team and be a back and maybe a 1a. Hill on the other hand IMO is on the fridge of being an NHL back up kind of like Garret Sparks or Charlie Lindgren. Hence the higher return. BTW not a Kraken fan.

Hill shut out Calgary while hurt but he’s a fringe backup? The bias here is ridiculous.

If the Sharks thought he was answer why did they go get Kahkonen and sign Strauss Mann? And If we are talking about shutting out the Flames Dustin Tokarski did that as well, in Calgary.

Hill if you exclude his 4 games his rookie year has never had a season over 2.76 GAA or a save percentage below 901. is only 25 ad is signed for 1 year 2.125 mil. that's a very affordable gamble for a team to give him a shot at the starting role.
Dreiger is coming off his worst year as a professional and his contract is for 2 more years at 3.5.
I'm not saying Hill is better what i am saying is hill is a much cheaper and easier gamble for teams to take on than Dreiger. and a 3rd for either one is about the market value IMO
