As it is the only thing to look forward to until the actual draft, the odds of the Jets landing the following picks on May 10th from Tankathon:
#4 : 2.1%
#5 : 1.0%
#14: 94.7%
#15: 2.1%
#16: >0%

The way the Rangers are playing they’ll be lucky to win a game against the Pens. Game 1 was awful despite it getting to overtime (literally only cause of Igor). Anything and everything wrong with them showed and was exploited during game 1. It was actually really depressing after the 1st period.

I'd actually take this trade from WPG as I would bet they don't make the playoffs next year and are Top 15 and then the next year's pick is unprotected.

With this lineup and a good coaching staff, they can definitely make the playoffs. My only concern is if scheifele continues to pout and mope around. He’ll have to be traded if he doesn’t and then yeah it’s unlikely they make playoffs.

As a team that I am hoping has an improvement in coaches, I get that the jump there could be decent, but all you added was Severson to your lineup in the end. I get addition by subtraction if Schmidt, Stanley, or DeMelo are problems in the room, but I'm not sure this team improves 10pts. If not, then they probably can't resign Severson, so that's the big loss, not to mention if they are struggling the following year, they may have to deal Helly at the deadline if they can't extend him, meaning they drop even more late.

Severson would help and they'd probably get a bit more offense from this defense than they got from this seasons group of dmen but I'd still doubt that this bottom six could
do anything on the scoresheet which would ultimately be their demise, also one top 6 injury for any significant amount of time and they'd be fukked.

Defense looks good. The cost of Severson is high but I would give what you have in the trade especially when it comes with an extension.

Not sure if the Jets should have 2 former defensemen as assistants as the powerplay needs help also. I think if there is a person who could this team as an assistant would be, dare I say, Mike Babcock (do I dare to say head coach?). I know there would be some sort of deal needed to be made with the Maple Leafs but I would seriously think about it.

Connor geekie won’t be there at #14 I think there’s a good chance he goes ahead of savoie, if the jets move up to 4 or 5 One of Jiricek and Nemec are most likely there and they need to jump all over that.

The problem with the jets wasn’t the team on paper. On paper, this team should have been a top 3 seed, if not a contender. The problem was consistency. A new coach, and bounce back seasons from key guys like pionk and scheifele will do wonders. 10 points isn’t a lot. Especially considering the jets had 11 OT losses, a team that historically is deadly in OT

This team has shown time and time again that it can dominate against any team in the league. But they simply don’t unless they are trailing in the last 5 mins of a game.

I completely agree. I was going to go buy on a guy like lindblom who can score and defend, but that’s more a tdl add since this team doesn’t have the trade assets right now in my opinion. I also think Wheeler with Lowry could cause a fair bit of damage.

I had that worry as well. Neither of these guys are also special teams specialists. Instead of Patrick or Carlyle, I would look to bring in a young special teams specialist as the 2nd assistant

Please no on Babcock. The jets are already having trouble retaining players.

100%. Jiricek or Nimec would set this team up on the backend for years.

The NJD trade is terrible for the Jets and I doubt that any team takes Stanley for 2nd

The Jets' off-season plan involves strategic signings, trades, and drafts, targeting a balanced roster and revamping player contracts within a clear salary cap strategy for enhanced team performance. MyOLSDMyOLSD
