True. I'm just thinking of a scenario where Chabot is available
Well if the Sens can't take the next step and Chabot is tired to be there, asks for a trade, then ok. But he's been on board with the full rebuild since the beginning. I agree that this time will come if they don't improve in the standings too
In a scenario like that and IF Vegas 1st round pick is lottery bound, then Ottawa considers. If not, forget it, they'd look for a different return.
Oh and remove Connor Brown lol

Sens add in Josh Norris to wings trade to take all that awful cap hits
My new favorite poster!
lol Sens don't even need/want Erne. Pretty sure they would much rather have cheaper Austin Watson.
Hamonic is also not a cap dump. He has been good in Ottawa and provides veteran help

Detroit declines, neither of those players are useful to us.
And do you think Adam Erne would be? He'd literally have zero chance to make the team
Bottom-6 wingers (4 spots) who will fight for a job : Connor Brown, Alex Formenton, Mathieu Joseph, Colin White, Austin Watson, Parker Kelly, Angus Crookshank, Egor Sokolov, Viktor Lodin, Roby Jarventie, etc
100% bet they would rather have Austin Watson, or Travis Hamonic, or both.
Sens absolutely keep both players (who are just stop gaps for 1 more season anyway) and the pick.
