I’m confused as to the reasons the Rangers would make this trade. Could you expand on your reasoning here?

Columbus ain’t moving Jenner, and Ottawa ain’t moving Chabot.

They’re also not moving Kuraly.

I do like the cap certainty here. Plus Kerala is a great player. I guess it comes down to is Miller ready for the top pair next to Fox.

Jenner was just named captain and likes playing in Columbus, he isn’t being moved. Karuly is from Columbus, so he isn’t going to be traded either.

Value is closer than other proposals but the Sens should not move Chabot under any circumstances, unless they have no choice or the offer makes them better short term and long term.
