If Myers was better maybe Nashville would decide to trade him. But since he was a massive disappointment in Nashville and is probs gonna get bought out I dont think Fabbro is on Nashville's want to trade list anymore

While I don’t believe these guys are worth second round picks, there will always be the brain dead GM that gives up high picks for bad players. Example: we got a third round pick from Ottawa for Travis Hamonic. The Sabres got the 14OA pick last year for Rasmus Ristolainen

Yeah but Ristolainen is a young RHD with seize and Hamonic is a good veteran RHD but they shouldn’t have paid an early 3rd for him

Myers Pearson aren’t worth 2nd Rounders

Pearson is most certainly worth a 2nd rounder

Ristolainen isn't young

Myers at 50% retained is worth a 2nd rounder no question

You kidding? Carrier still has a year left on his ELC, why the heck would the Preds trade him before it expires?

Both of them have M-NTCs this summer so they have some control over their destiny, which could depress any potential return.

Pearson put up 0.5/PPG this season and only has 2x$3.25M so I don't even see why OP has him traded here - they've got Jason Dickinson on LW3 and $15M in cap space. I'd just bury or buyout Dickinson (I'm sure you can make up his 11 points somewhere else lol) and keep Pearson. I think if you do trade him, a 2nd rounder is probably in the ballpark of what he gets. Maybe a later pick and a B-level prospect instead? Looking at the Sam Bennett trade from last season as a comp for contract/player (Pearson produced better than Bennett but is a couple years older and makes a little more so feels like it's close), and Calgary got a late 2nd and a random prospect for him.

Myers is going to be tougher to move. 32, and even with full retention is going to cost 2x$3M for the acquiring team, and there's always D available in trades. Going back to last year's TDL, Mike Reilly went for a 3rd ($1.5M cap hit at the time), Dmitry Kulikov went for a 4th ($1.15M cap hit at the time), even Brandon Montour at a slightly higher cap hit but much better production only got a 3rd. I think the ceiling for Myers would be a 3rd/4th or a mid-level prospect.

If it means adding someone like Miller I think they'd be willing to consider it. But Fabbro is much better and he's probably untouchable regardless

If I’m poile I’m passing on this deal. Fabbro shouldn’t be made available or I don’t think he gives up on glass after a year. And while Miller is clearly better I would target boeser instead of Miller if I’m targeting anyone from Vancouver.

You clearly dont get what I was saying when you commented in the first post

But since you need help I will sum it up

If Phillipe Myers in Nashville was playing better than Fabbro potentially would be made available for trade. But because Myers has been a massive disappointment doubt Nashville trades Fabbro as he has been a solid top 4 defender for them

Got it?

This has nothing to do with Vancouver's Myers lul.

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding, next time list the first name so there isn't any confusion

Dickinson isn't going to get bought out, he'll be given the chance to bounce back. He just got traded for the first time in his pro career and has needed more time to adjust to new surroundings unfortunately, but it is what it is

Nope, he's a 2nd pair defenseman on most fringe playoff teams. He's only a 3rd pair defenseman on contending teams, at least most contending teams

And I'd only move Myers for a 5th if I wasn't retaining any salary, if I was retaining salary, I'd ask for more value back
